The Home Safeguarding Set by Safety 1st makes it simple to include safety in your plans when preparing the nursery and other rooms of your home for a new baby.
These 80 essential safety items will help you make things safer for your new bundle of joy. The set includes 40 electrical outlet protectors, six Grip ‘n Twist Door Knob Covers, 30 Cabinet and Drawer Latches, and four Cabinet Slide Locks to help secure multiple rooms in your home.
Some rooms need to be completely out of bounds to little explorers. Grip ‘n Twist Door Knob Covers allow parents easy access to the door knob, but stop young children from entering the room. The covers are easily assembled around your door knob; simply click the two halves together by aligning the interlocking tabs. To use, grab the door knob through the holes in the cover and turn.
Cabinets contain toxic products, cookies, snacks, and other food that children shouldn’t have easy access to. Install latches on cabinets or drawers and use Cabinet Slide Locks on side by side cabinets. These devices help keep curious children from getting into potentially dangerous items.
Remember, safeguarding the home early will help make things easier for the whole family as your child grows. Begin by preparing the nursery before the baby arrives; and the kitchen, bathroom, and other common areas before your baby starts crawling.
Note: Child Proof Advice does not recommend the outlet plug protectors in this set; please see our outlet plug product at Shop Our Store
Child Proof Advice recommends a larger, oval plug with air holes for breathing. If a child gets the outlet plug stuck in their mouth, they can still breath and are not at risk for suffocation.
Adhesive Removal:
To remove adhesive from surfaces where child proof items have been mounted, wipe off remaining adhesive with a soft cloth and warm soapy water or roll adhesive off of the surface with fingers and clean the according to manufacturer’s recommendations. Goo Gone is a commercially available product for removing adhesives.
Safety 1st is a premier manufacturer of child safety items, and all products are recommended by JPMA, the Juvenile Product Manufacturer’s Association.
